Lumen Diagnostics is a research and educational platform for exploring explainable medical-imaging AI. Predictions are decision-support signals and must always be confirmed by a qualified clinician.
Which image types are supported?
JPG, JPEG and PNG today across Chest X-Ray, Brain MRI, Retinal Fundus and Skin Lesion. DICOM ingestion is on the roadmap.
How does the explainability work?
Each prediction is paired with a Grad-CAM style saliency heatmap highlighting the regions that most influenced the result, with an opacity control and an explainability score.
Can we self-host?
Yes. It is plain PHP + MySQL and runs on standard shared hosting like Hostinger with no special setup.
How is access controlled?
Six roles with role-based permissions, hashed passwords, CSRF protection and an activity audit trail.
